God doesn’t love us for who we are; God loves us in spite of
who we are. God didn’t send His Son down
to solve our problems or to make us better; He sent Jesus to redeem us. We are not worthy of any consideration. We are sinners, and we bring nothing to the
negotiation table. We have nothing that
God needs. God loves us just because He
is good. And God wants to shower His
amazing grace upon us so that we might praise Him. Romans 5:6-8 “For when we were yet without
strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous
man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners,
Christ died for us.”
