John 6:10-12

John 6:10-12 And Jesus said, Make the men sit down. Now there was much grass in the place. So the men sat down, in number about five thousand. And Jesus took the loaves; and when he had given thanks, he distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to them that were set down; and likewise of the fishes as much as they would. When they were filled, he said unto his disciples, Gather up the fragments that remain, that nothing be lost. This is the wonderful story of the feeding of the 5,000. Matthew and Mark also tell of the feeding of the 4,000 also. Wow! That is a lot of people to feed! But Jesus could feed a few or a few thousand just as easy. Jesus does the hard things just as easy as He does the easy things. How do you think the little boy felt when Jesus asked if he could have his lunch? I’ll bet he was glad to help. Most kids are glad to assist in any way that they can. Jesus took the little boy’s small lunch and gave thanks and then started handing out the food to his disciples. And the more He handed out, the more it seemed that there was. He handed out more, and more, and more ... Jesus has the power to heal and the power to feed the multitudes. He is awesome!
