John 8:31,32 Then
said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then
are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall
make you free. During Jesus time, the Pharisees were a powerful religious
group. When someone began to listen to Jesus and to follow His teachings, they
were in trouble with the Pharisees. The Pharisees were jealous of Jesus and didn’t
want anyone to listen to Him. But people who listened to Jesus knew deep down
in their hearts that what Jesus was saying was right. The Pharisees were only
pretending to be good. But Jesus was really good. When the Pharisees spoke and
when Jesus spoke, thinking people just knew who was right. They knew that Jesus
not only spoke the truth, why He was the Truth!
