John 6:50

John 6:50 This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die. In Revelation 20, John the Apostle talks about two deaths. The first death is when we die and pass on into eternity. Everyone must face this first death. But the second death is when an unbelieving person is condemned to the Lake of Fire forever and forever. Sometimes this is called the second death because it happens after we die physically. If we trust in Jesus Christ as our Savior, we will never face this second death. We will live forever with God in heaven. The second death is only for those who do not accept God’s gift of eternal life, which is paid for us by Jesus Christ on the cross of Calvary. So if we accept Jesus Christ, the second death does not apply to us. We will live forever and forever. It's like this: If you are born once you will die twice; but if you are born twice, you will only die once. Get it?! If you are born again, you will never face this second death that we are talking about. That is another great reason to trust Jesus as your Savior!
