John 6:28,29

John 6:28,29 Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God? Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent. Jesus’ disciples asked Him what they should do to do the works of God. Many people today are trying to do things for God to please Him so that He will like them better. But Jesus died for us while we were good-for-nothing, worthless sinners. He loves us just as we are. God loves us, not what we can do for Him. Jesus told His disciples that the only work that they could was to believe on Jesus Himself. And that is not really a work. Jesus wants us, not what we can do for Him. He has already done all of the work on the cross of Calvary. All we have to do is believe on Him!
