I Corinthians
10:11,12 Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are
written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come. Wherefore
let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall. There are many
great stories in the Bible. And our verses tell us that things happened to
these people to be an example for us. Let me ask some questions: Did Joseph
give up when he was mistreated? What lesson did Joseph teach us? Were Shadrach,
Meshach, and Abednego faithful to serve God? What lesson did they teach us? Was
little David faithful in protecting his flock of sheep from lions and bears?
What lesson did David teach us? Did Miriam carefully watch baby Moses in the
bulrushes? Did she speak up to Pharaoh’s daughter at just the right time with
just the right ideas? Did that save the life of baby Moses? Did Moses later
save millions of Hebrew lives? How is that an example to us? So, if all of
these Bible stories were written for us to warn us, are they important to us?
Given all of these people who lived and left their stories for us to learn
from, do you think that God has something really, really big planned for you? I
know that He has! And I can’t wait to see what God has planned for you!
