I Corinthians 15:1,3,4

I Corinthians 15:1,3,4 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; ... how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures. The Apostle Paul gives us the Gospel of Jesus Christ in just a few words. And the Gospel is this: the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. It is as simple as that. Jesus paid for our salvation with His own blood on the cross of Calvary. Jesus’ death was foretold in the Old Testament in prophecy. Isaiah 53:5 says that “he was wounded for our transgressions; he was bruised for our iniquities.” That’s why the phrase “according to the Scriptures” occurs twice in our verses. The death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus was told about hundreds of years before it happened! And then it happened just as the Scriptures said it would. You can trust the Bible and you can trust Jesus as your Savior!
