I Corinthians 10:13

I Corinthians 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. God is faithful and watches over us carefully. He knows how much we can handle and won’t put too much on us. But often we think that we have too much to handle. We may think that we are going to break. But God knows that we haven’t reached our breaking point just yet. God is putting pressure on us to help us to grow. Just like an athlete does push-ups and sit-ups, God is working on us to make us stronger and stronger. Great athletes have a saying, “If it doesn’t kill you, it will make you stronger.” And so it is in the Christian life. God will only put on us what we can bear. The pressures of this world are like a submarine getting ready to dive. The siren sounds and the sub begins to sink into the water. But the submariners on the deck aren’t worried. They have an escape hatch. As the waters rise and the scenery around them gets dangerous, they look for that escape hatch. They find it, slip down to safety, and close the hatch behind them. Always remember, as the submarine sinks and danger comes, that escape hatch is already there to be used. The sailors just have to look and find it. God has prepared a way for us to make it through life’s trials. We just have to look for God’s solution; we just have to look for God’s way of escape.
