Mark 1:21,22

Mark 1:21,22 And they went into Capernaum; and straightway on the sabbath day he entered into the synagogue, and taught. And they were astonished at his doctrine: for he taught them as one that had authority, and not as the scribes. Jesus didn’t teach and preach like the religious leaders of His day. They were interested in themselves and following every little detail of the Jewish Law. But Jesus knew the exact meaning of the Law in the Old Testament. After all, He was God! He had written the Old Testament! And when Jesus spoke, He spoke with authority! He knew what He was speaking to, and it was refreshing to hear someone speak with authority about the Bible. And so it is with us. We should study the Bible and know what God says. Then we should speak with authority just like Jesus did.
