Mark 2:5

Mark 2:5 When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee. When Jesus came into Capernaum, He was soon surrounded by folk who wanted to see this great teacher and miracle-worker. Four friends heard about Jesus too. So they brought their handicapped friend to Jesus to be healed. But when they got there, the whole house was blocked with people! They couldn’t even get close to the front door! But they were determined. One of them had an idea. They figured out exactly where Jesus was standing inside, and went around back and up the outdoor stairs to the flat roof. Then they broke apart the roof and let down their friend right in front of Jesus and the astonished crowd. Jesus saw the poor handicapped man, and then looked up at the hopeful faces of his four friends staring down from the hole in the ceiling. Jesus smiled and said to the cripple man, “Son, your sins are forgiven you. And so that everyone will know that I have the power to forgive sins, I say to you get up! Take up your bedroll and walk!” And he did. But then this cripple man began to leap around and to enjoy his strengthened legs. He had run half-way home to his family before his friends caught up with him. They tackled him laughing and crying tears of joy all at the same time! They were one great big happy ball of joy dancing about praising God. They all five just knew that Jesus was the Son of God! And we do too!
