James 5:17,18

James 5:17,18 Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months. And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit. Elias is the name Elijah. James reminds us that Elijah was an ordinary man who did extraordinary things for God. Elijah prayed and it didn’t rain for 3 and a half years! And then after the miracle of fire on Mt. Carmel, Elijah prayed and the rain came. Once again, Elijah was an ordinary man. So let’s trust God and do extraordinary things for Him, just like Elijah did! Trust and obey!
