Revelation 1:10,11-13 I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great
voice, as of a trumpet, Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last:
and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches
which are in Asia … And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being
turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks; And in the midst of the seven
candlesticks one like unto the Son of man … When Jesus came to earth the
first time, He came to a simple little family from an ordinary family. He was
born in a lowly stable and laid in a cow’s feeding trough as a bed. He grew up
in a small town and worked as an ordinary carpenter. But here in the book of
Revelation, when Jesus comes a second time to earth, He will come as the King
of kings and Lord of lords! He will be powerful and in charge! The picture of
Jesus here in Revelation is powerful! Jesus is awe inspiring to look at and His
power over the earth is even more powerful! Jesus was mistreated the first time
that He came. He was the sacrifice for our sins. But this second time that
Jesus comes to earth … well, the bad guys had better watch out! Jesus will
return in all of His power and glory! What a return that will be!
