I drove up to Springfield, Tennessee yesterday to visit my granddaughter who was on fall break from college. I enjoyed seeing my grandson, who works at the family greenhouse. Right now, he is nursing the poinsettias along getting ready for the open house November 8. My daughter and son-in-law are always glad to see me as well (at least they pretend to). I remember years ago when Sophie was just a little girl. She was my buddy when I would sneak out to Chrik fil-A for breakfast. They grow up so fast! Proverbs 17:6, “Children's children are the crown of old men; and the glory of children are their fathers.” I am proud of my grandchildren, and my children are proud of me. I enjoy visiting them and they enjoy seeing me. God is good to give me family, and I am grateful. Hey, God is good to give us bright spots in our day. What or whom will you enjoy today? Take a moment and thank the good Lord for them.
