Thank You

I received a sweet thank you note from a friend at church.  She thanked me for working to restore our church buildings from the recent flood.  She said kind things, but working on our church building is my pleasure (sound familiar?).  I can think of nothing better than to work on God’s house.  I recall advice from a pastor years ago, “If you have something negative to say, say it.  But if you have something good to say, write it in a note so that the receiver can read it over and over again.”  Great advice.  And thank you for the kind note, Miss Nora, I have read it three times … and I still have it.  Proverbs 16:24, “Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones.”  Indeed they are!
