Mark 12:10-12

Mark 12:10-12 And have ye not read this scripture; The stone which the builders rejected is become the head of the corner: This was the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes? And they sought to lay hold on him, but feared the people: for they knew that he had spoken the parable against them: and they left him, and went their way. Jesus used a parable about a stone that the builders of the new building had set aside. But later, this rejected stone turned out to be just perfect for the cornerstone – the one stone from which all of the other stones was lined up. The cornerstone is in the very corner for the width and for the length of the building. The cornerstone is very important! And Jesus is very important. Everyone is compared to Jesus. Everything is compared to Jesus. Jesus is our standard that everything else measures up to. The people knew it. The religious leaders knew it. And you know it! Jesus is number one!
