Deuteronomy 32:4 He
is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth
and without iniquity, just and right is he. Rocks are solid. When you want
to crack a pecan nut open to get to the meat inside, you smash it onto a rock.
So, does the rock crack or does the pecan shell crack? Of course, the shell
cracks. That is because the rock is solid and will not budge. And that is what
our verse is saying – God is our solid rock. He will not fall apart or collapse
in difficult times. God will always be the same. He is dependable; He is our
rock!
