I Samuel 20:42

I Samuel 20:42 And Jonathan said to David, Go in peace, forasmuch as we have sworn both of us in the name of the LORD, saying, The LORD be between me and thee, and between my seed and thy seed for ever. And he arose and departed: and Jonathan went into the city. Jonathan was Saul’s son, but Jonathan loved David as a brother. Because Saul hated David, the young men couldn’t hang around each other very much. But Jonathan made a pact with David. Jonathan gave David his bow and arrows to remember him by and Jonathan promised always to love David. Jonathan knew that God had rejected Saul from being the king. And Jonathan knew that Samuel had anointed David to be the next king. But Jonathan didn’t care. David would always be his friend, regardless of what might happen. What loyalty! Do you have a good friend like Jonathan? Are you a good friend like Jonathan?
