A few years ago, we were in Gatlinburg, Tennessee for a mini vacation with our family. Greyson was six years old at the time and anything was liable to come out of his mouth (and his mind). We had driven up into the mountains and had hiked up to Clingman's Dome and back. Greyson was worn out and slept in his car seat on the way back to our cabin. But he woke up after a ten-minute powernap and announced, "Well, I was down to 17% and now I'm back up to 100%!" And he certainly was! Have you ever felt drained?! It could be that you feel drained today. It could be your bank account is drained. Maybe you are emotionally drained with strained family relationships. You could be down to 17% in your spiritual life. Whatever lies ahead for you today, the dear Lord is already there and He is waiting for you. He knows where you will be and what you will need. He knows when your physical, emotional, and financial batteries need charging. God told Jeremiah in Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” Hey, the dear Lord has a great plan for you today. Draw close to the Lord and rest in His plan … the best plan that you can imagine! Rest in the Lord and get back to 100%. You’ll be glad that you did.
