Simple Fix

Five years ago, I began going to a skin specialist.  My dad passed away from melanoma cancer in 1994, and my wife was insistent that I go.  The PA used liquid nitrogen to freeze several suspicious spots including a scabby area on the top of my left ear.  The next year, the spot on my ear was still there, and she froze it again with a biopsy.  The biopsy came back negative, but my wife was still nervous.  The third time (two years ago), I asked the PA what she thought was going on.  She asked me if I slept on my left side.  When I replied that I did, she said that it was common for older side-sleepers to have circulation problems in the tips of their ears.  I told her not to freeze the scabby spot, and she didn’t.  When I sleep on my side, I use two pillows to keep my neck and spine aligned, so I added a second stack beside the first stack leaving a little crack in the middle for my ear.  When I lay down on my side, my ear nestles right into that little crack and the pressure is off of it.  Within a month, the scab healed, and the top of my ear was good!  An easy fix for a lingering problem.  Hey, mankind has a lingering problem that is far worse than melanoma cancer.  It is called sin.  And there is no cure; sin is terminal!  But Jesus paid our sin-debt and redeemed our souls from hell.  What a blessing!  Hey, have you appropriated the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross?  Just like I had to act upon the information that the PA gave me about my ear, you must act on the salvation that is offered by Jesus Christ.  I Peter 3:18, “For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened (made alive) by the Spirit.”  Hey, act upon this life-changing information.  Accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior right now.  You’ll never be sorry that you did.
