Donald and Tracey Heathfield were Canadian citizens who emigrated to the US in the early 1990’s.  Mr. Heathfield earned a law degree from Harvard and his wife was a stay-at-home mother to their two children, Timothy and Alex.  But in 2010, it was discovered that the couple were actually Andrey and Yelena Bezrukov, who were Russian spies with fake Canadian passports!  20-year-old Tim, who had just finished his sophomore year at George Washington University, had been recruited by the SVR, the intelligence arm of the Russian KGB.  The Heathfields, along with eight other Russian moles had been hiding in plain sight for years while blending into their American neighborhoods.  No one suspected their true identities!  For almost 25 years they lived ordinary lives, waiting for orders when they would be needed for an important purpose.  Do you realize that, like these Russian spies, the dear Lord is working behind the scenes in your life every day?  You may not see God’s purposes in your life for years and years, but He is at work, nonetheless.  God has been preparing people, events, and circumstances to bring his ultimate purposes to pass in your life!  Paul said in Romans 8:28, “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”  Hey, don’t struggle against the will of God.  Let the dear Lord direct your life.  He has been quietly orchestrating everything for your good and for His ultimate glory!
