II Samuel 14:28

II Samuel 14:28 So Absalom dwelt two full years in Jerusalem, and saw not the king's face. David’s family became troubled because David had sinned. He was a bad example for his children, especially for his son, Absalom. Absalom killed his own step-brother because the step-brother had sex with his own step-sister. Wicked, wasn’t it? But David only half-way forgave Absalom. David allowed Absalom back into Jerusalem, but he refused to meet face to face with Absalom for two years! Absalom became bitter and started a rebellion against his own father. David fled for his life and many good men were killed, including Absalom. And Absalom’s sin goes back to David’s sin. Sin is like a pebble thrown into a pond. The ripples go out and out and out. It goes everywhere and it affects everyone. God hates sin! I hate sin! What about you?
