II Samuel 7:28,29

II Samuel 7:28,29 And now, O Lord GOD, thou art that God, and thy words be true, and thou hast promised this goodness unto thy servant: Therefore now let it please thee to bless the house of thy servant, that it may continue for ever before thee: for thou, O Lord GOD, hast spoken it: and with thy blessing let the house of thy servant be blessed for ever. This is part of David’s prayer of dedication that he prayed when he was installed as king of Judah in Hebron the capital. It wasn’t very long after that that David captured Jerusalem from the Jebusites and built a fortress there. It became known as the city of David. After seven and a half years, the rest of the tribes of Israel requested David to be king over them. So David reigned for a total of forty years over Judah and Israel. So what was the key to David’s success? In our verses for today, we see that David had a heart for God. David love God and did his best to please God. Do you want to please God like King David? I hope so.
