Eternal Father

Have you ever had a hard day?  If you are in your twenties, maybe you have.  If you are in your forties, you most certainly have had a few.  If you are in your seventies (my hand is up) you have had far too many bad days to count.  I have received a phone call late at night that a brother was killed suddenly in a car accident.  I have sat beside the bed of another brother passing into eternity with the ravages of cancer.  I have watched a mother and a father taking their last breath.  I have cried in the wee hours of the morning over countless heartbreaks and fears.  And that’s not all.  There are many more.  But … the dear Lord has been there walking with me in each instance.  Moses said in Deuteronomy 31:8, “And the LORD, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.”  Our heavenly Father has promised to be with us in each and every trial.  He is already in the future and He has already seen us through on the other side of the trial.  God was with us in the past, God is with us now, and God will be with us in the future.  Oh, dear one, rest in His strong, loving arms.  He will never leave you nor ever let you fail.
