We have a small congregation and most of us have gray hair. And … some have gray hair but color it (ladies). We have a tradition at Calvary to help college students going away to school for the first time. We set out a big box in the church vestibule and fill it with things that college students might need. You might think that there would be a disadvantage for the students because our congregation is small, but because we are most “grandparent” age, the college kids make out rather well: we love to dote on our kids. Hey, the dear Lord loved us, and we like to love one another. Jesus said in John 13:34, “A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.” What better way to show your love for the dear Lord than to love His children?!
