I Peter 5:7 Casting
all your care upon him; for he careth for you. Think about going on a hike
with a big, strong friend. You both have backpacks loaded with snacks, an extra
jacket, and first aid supplies. But after you get going, you grow tired and
struggle with your heavy backpack. Your strong friend notices that you are struggling and
offers to carry your backpack for you. Why does he offer? He sees your
predicament and cares about you. He has the ability to help and the desire to
help. And that is exactly what Peter is saying about God in our verse. God
loves us, cares for us and is able to help us in our need. So, what should we
do with our problems? Give them to God because, he cares for us!
