I Peter 5:8

I Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: I don’t know about you, but I am scared about lions. They are fast, they are powerful, and they eat old men! And if we are scared of a lion, we should be scared of the devil. Satan is powerful, and we cannot defeat him. But God can! So our best way to defeat Satan is to stay close to the Lord. The word sober means to be serious. The word vigilant means to be on the lookout. So we had better be serious about keeping an eye out for Satan. And just like a lion, Satan may sneak up on us at any time. So we had better stay close to the Lord in prayer and in Bible reading. The devil is on the prowl and looking to eat us up! Wake up! Be careful! And above all, keep close to the Lord.
