Mark 7:15

Mark 7:15 There is nothing from without a man, that entering into him can defile him: but the things which come out of him, those are they that defile the man. Jesus went on to remind the religious leaders that the inside was way more important than the outside. What comes out of your mouth – what you say – is far more important than what you eat or drink. Your harsh words hurt more than eating meat considered to be unclean. The religious leaders were concerned with what they did, but Jesus was concerned with their heart. So, what about you? Do you look at what someone wears or what they say? Are you more worried about what they look like or if they gossip about someone? Always remember: the heart is most important. That’s not what I think; that’s what Jesus thinks.
