Mark 9:23,24

Mark 9:23,24 Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief. The man in our verse for today had a demon possessed boy. The boy would do crazy things all the time and his father was pained every day. He loved his son but feared he would never be normal. The man came to Jesus begging the Great Teacher to heal his son. When Jesus said he could heal the boy if the father had faith, the father cried out in desperation, “Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief!” And isn’t that the way we all are? We believe God, but there is always the fear that we don’t believe God enough. But that fear is just one of Satan’s lies. Always remember: it isn’t how much faith we have, it’s Who our faith is in! Jesus didn’t heal the boy because the man had great faith. The man didn’t! Jesus took the weak faith that the man had and healed the boy because Jesus was the Great Physician. Jesus could do anything. And Jesus can do anything. With our weak faith and His mighty power, great things will happen! Just trust Jesus and ask Him to do the rest!
