Our Help

 

When Our country was first founded, there were thirteen colonies that became thirteen states.  And when those states approved the Constitution in 1787, the federal government’s primary responsibility was to protect the states from foreign invasion.  Today, the federal government has swollen to oversee transportation, education, health, agriculture, commerce, … and the list goes on and on.  The federal government reaches into every facet of our lives.  From the cradle to the grave, we get everything from the government.  Hey, what is your source of help?  Is it a social security check?  Is it food stamps?  Is it student aid loans?  Is it welfare?  Is your source of help FEMA?  Or is your help from the Lord in heaven?  David said in Psalm 121:2, “My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.”  Over the years, governments have failed and politicians have broken their promises, but the dear Lord has never failed!  Hey, get involved in government and vote in the next election, but realize that God is the ultimate source of your hope.  Yes, He is!
