Tuesday, I was going to Springfield, Tennessee to see my grandson for his birthday. So, Monday evening, I went to bed, but spent a restless night because I was excited about the next day. I was up at 3:30 am because I couldn’t wait to see my grandson, Will for his 22nd birthday! Traffic was easy though Chattanooga and Nashville (note above at what time I left). We had a great day, I left mid-afternoon, and got home by 7 pm. By the time I grabbed a salad and finished preparing this post, it was 8:30 pm and I fell into bed totally exhausted. I was thought, “I am so tired, I may have trouble sleeping … “ and I was out like a light! I woke up one time, rolled over, and immediately went back to sleep. I slept 8 full hours and woke at 4:30 am refreshed and ready for today! So, the key to a good night’s sleep: eat a light supper, have a long day, and go to bed exhausted. Psalm 127:2, “It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he giveth his beloved sleep.”
