Look at the Other Side

When I get ready for church, I get out the jacket that I will be wearing, and I hang it on the back of a dining room chair … hoping not to forget it.  But it always slides off one side or the other because the back of the chair is round and I can never quite get the hanger square in the middle of the chair back.  That is until I stepped around and looked at the chair from the front side.  You see, the chair has a narrow board right in the middle that I can see from the front.  I can easily find the middle of that narrow board and hang the coat hanger in the middle of that board.  Problem solved.  Hey, it’s easy to look back on situations in life and see what WAS the best.  It’s much harder to determine what WILL BE the best.  But thankfully, the Lord knows the future, and He can help to direct us the best way.  Psalm 37:23, “The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way.”
