Awexia

My granddaughter babysat for a family with a little three-year-old girl.  She hadn’t learned to speak properly just yet and was frustrated with the family’s smart speaker.  The little girl would say, “Awexia, pway Fwozen”.  But Alexia did not recognize what the little girl said.  So, the little girl would say again, “Awexia, pway Fwozen!” but again, nothing.  The little girl said to my granddaughter, “Awexia just doesn’t wisten to me.”  Poor little thing!  She just didn’t realize that the problem was with her and that Alexia was listening all the time.  How often do we think that God isn’t listening to our cry?!  We ask, but seem to have no answer from God.  Oh, my friend, God is listening, but God knows the big picture and is too good to give us what we want.  God gives us what we need, what He wants us to have, and when He wants us to have it.  James said it well in James 4:3, “Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.”  Feel free to ask God for what you want, but have the wisdom and courage to wait on God for His answer in His own good time.  After all, God knows what is best.
