Emergency

About six months ago, my wife woke up early in the morning with a nosebleed.  She used Kleenex to try and stop it, but her blood thinners were doing too good of a job.  After using a full box of tissue, I called 911 and an ambulance took her to the hospital.  The emergency room doctor was able to use a topical clotting device and we were back home later that morning.  We were caught off guard that morning by an emergency situation that we hadn’t planned on.  But when Jesus Christ came to earth a little over two thousand years ago, it wasn’t an emergency.  God was not caught off guard by Adam’s sin and man’s increasing wickedness.  The birth of Jesus wasn’t Plan B for God and Man.  From eternity, before time began, God knew that man would disobey, and a plan to redeem man from his sin was formulated.  Jesus, the Creator (Colossians 1:16) became Jesus the Redeemer (Galatians 4:4&5) before anyone came into existence!  Jesus didn’t come as an ambulance in an emergency situation; Jesus came as the Savior, born in Bethlehem, to save us from ourselves.  Paul said it well in Galatians 4:3, “But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son …”  Jesus’ birth was planned and perfectly executed!  Hey, from the beginning of time, God had everything under control.  And from the beginning of time, you were on His mind.
