Ecclesiastes
12:13,14 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his
commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. For God shall bring every work
into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be
evil. These are the last verses of Ecclesiastes. Solomon is giving us his
conclusion of all his investigations. Fear and obey God. So why should we fear
God and obey Him? That is because we will stand before God someday. If we obey
Him, we will be happy; if we do not obey God, we will be sorry. And we will be
sorry for a really, really long time. So let’s agree with Solomon; let’s fear
and obey God. Then we will be happy. Thank you, King Solomon! Good advice.
