Hebrews 4:16

Hebrews 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. As a young boy, one of the first presidents that I remember was John F. Kennedy. He was not the man that my parents voted for, but he was our president, and we respected him. When Kennedy took office, he had two young children. Caroline was the oldest and John Jr. was the youngest, born only weeks after his father became president. So John Jr. grew up in the White House and felt at home around the rich and powerful of Washington. President Kennedy made sure that everyone knew that little John John could come in and see his daddy any time that he wanted to. He wanted his son to have access to him. Often John John would play in the Oval Office while important meetings were going on. He would hide under his father's desk. How was this little boy allowed to freely run into the most important room in the whole world? He could because of who his father was. And our verse tells us that we have an open invitation to come right in to the throne room of the God of the Universe! Do we deserve to come in? Absolutely not. But when we become a Christian, we are spiritually born into God's family. We become the children of God. And as God's children, we have the authority to come into His throne room any time we please. And just like President Kennedy welcomed his son into his office any time, our heavenly Father welcomes us into His presence any time that we please. So, do you have a need? Then go to your heavenly Father in prayer any time you have a need. God loves you and welcomes you into His presence!
