Take a close look at these flowers. Do you have days when you feel like these flowers look?! They were fresh a week ago when my sister brought them over to cheer my wife. But cut flowers last only a few days. They are good for a season, and then they are gone. Hey, that’s the way it is with us humans. We grow and thrive, then peak and decline. What a bummer! But remember that the soul lives on for eternity! Our bodies may age (and feel like those flowers) but our soul is renewed every day! David said in Psalm 103:15-17, “As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth. For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more. But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children's children.” What a blessing to know that God will resurrect these corrupted bodies to a new life that lasts forever and forever. Hey, put your faith in Jesus Christ, and He will give you eternal life.
