Ambassadors

Ambassadors are important people in government.  But a hundred years ago they were VERY important.  Before the days of telephone and internet, a President would send an ambassador overseas with the power to negotiate important treaties on behalf of the government.  The ambassador and his President couldn’t confer minute by minute by phone, like they can today.  The President would send the ambassador out with Plan A and Plan B and even more plans.  If those didn’t work, the ambassador would have to come home to confer with the President.  Hey, that’s the way that we are as Christians.  We represent the Kingdom of heaven to a wicked world. We are negotiating eternal life with people who in conflict with the King of Glory.  Paul said in II Corinthians 5:20, “Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.”  Hey, you ARE an ambassador.  The question is, “What kind of an ambassador are you?”  Do you represent your heavenly Father well?  Are you busy negotiating for God?
