USDA Customs and Border Security dog, Freddie, has discovered over 4 tons of contraband food illegally brought into the United States! He is one of 11 beagles used to sniff out food not allowed to be brought into the US because it might be carrying dangerous insects, worms, or parasites that might infect US crops. We have encountered Freddie several times coming back into the US from Europe clearing customs in Atlanta. Freddie’s handler joked, “Don’t worry about the dog. Freddie is just looking for dirty clothes.” Beagles have 45 times the sniffing ability of humans, so they are very effective working the airport. But Freddie is a rescue dog discovered in a dog pound! He became a useful tool used to keep America safe! And I’m so glad that Jesus rescued me! As a sinner in 1956, I asked Jesus to wash away my sins and to give me a clean heart. And He did! That’s because God is as good as His word.
