Safe

I like to keep my family safe.  Going to college in a not-so-safe area was not good for my family, so we lived fifteen miles out of town in a safer area.  And when we went to bed at night, it was my job to make sure that the doors and the windows were locked.  But if I ever forgot my keys inside and locked the door as I walked out, I was in trouble because I knew that the other door and all of the windows were locked.  One time, I walked around the house looking for an unlocked window.  I found one window unlocked, but I had to destroy the screen to get through the window.  From then on, I kept a secret key outside in the … well, if I told you, it wouldn’t be a ‘secret key’.  Jesus went one step further: Jesus Himself is the door to the sheepfold!  If you want to get into the sheepfold, you must go through Jesus!  Now that’s real security!  Jesus said in John 10:9, “I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.”  And Jesus went on to say in verse 10, “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”  Jesus provides safety and protection for his beloved sheep.  Hey, have you trusted in Jesus Christ for your eternal security?  If not, now would be a good time to make that decision.  Message me and let’s chat.
