Lights

I’ll just admit it: I am obsessive-compulsive.  Or, like a friend used to say, “I am DCO … that’s OCD put in alphabetical order.”  I have been frustrated going into cardiac rehab each morning (before daylight) to see (or not to see) the decorative lights at the main CHI Memorial Hospital entrance burned out and not working.  There are spotlights on the three sides of the building that shine upwards highlighting the rough-textured concrete tower, but only 4 of the 24 lights are working!  So, Last Monday, I unscrewed the lens cover to see if I could replace the bulbs myself (I could not because they were high intensity bulbs).  My dear wife would have told me to mind my own business, but she wasn’t around to give me good advice, so I got involved anyway.  But the high intensity bulbness thwarted my involvement, so I couldn’t do anything anyway.  But, alas, I’m confusing.  I’ll just have to wait on CHI maintenance to finish my job, which may take a while.  Jesus said in Matthew 5:16, “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”  Our job is to point folk to Jesus Christ.  So, today, “let your light shine” and point people to Jesus.
