Ants

Each year, it seems that I have an infestation of little tiny ants.  They are so little that I can kill one with a single smush of my finger.  But then 10 come to the funeral of the smushed ant!  I would use insect spray, but the problem is in the kitchen where my food is, and I don’t want my children to be born deformed or with low I.Q. … oh, wait …  but I’m not going there.  A friend told me of a sure fire remedy: ant baits.  So, I bought a box and set one out.  The ants just loved them!  Literally hundreds of them came runnin’!  I think that the whole colony turned out!  The bait containers came four to a package, and I had to deploy all four to meet the need of the crowd.  It seemed like they were attracted to the stuff!  Puzzled, I read the directions on the box and found that the bait was supposed to attract the ants.  They would take the bait back to their colony, and sometime later, they would all die.  But I hadn’t read all of that information and I was mistaken.  I thought that the ants were enjoying the stuff.  And they were … for a brief time.  Life lesson here: read the directions.  Don’t assume that you know.  Read the directions.  Spiritual application here: get out your Bible and ‘read the directions’.  You may think that you know it all, but those details are critical.  Hey, have you read a chapter in Proverbs
