New Socks

Last week, I bought a new package of black socks at Tractor Supply.  There were six pair in the package, which let me retire my six pair of older socks that were no longer black, but had turned a dingy dark grey.  So, I washed my new socks before I wore them for the first time.  I learned the hard way to wash new socks.  My navy-blue-stained feet took two showers to neutralize.  But when I washed my new socks with a load of laundry, my shirts and pants came out of the washing machine with black fuzz all over them.  The dryer defuzzed my shirts and pants very well, but the filter was clogged with black lint.  Reminded me of the old saying, “If you sleep with dogs you’ll wake up with fleas.”  Cleaning my socks fouled my other clothes.  Hey, when folk hang around with you, are they better or worse from the interaction?  Do you leave them cleaner or do you leave them dirtier?  I Corinthians 15:33, “Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.”
