I Can See!

As you can see, I had an event yesterday: I had cataract surgery … and it went well.  I am grateful for a good surgeon and grateful for my daughter who drove me around.  Last winter, I got new glasses, but I was disappointed that I couldn’t see any better.  I went back to the optometrist, and he said that I had cataracts and needed surgery.  So, my journey began.  Yesterday, I had the worst eye done, and I will have the other eye done on August 8.  This morning, with the cloudiness eased, I am amazed at how good I can see!  The colors and the brightness – I am amazed!  I can identify with the man born blind in John 9.  The priests and Pharisees grilled the man about Jesus, who had healed the man of his blindness.  They accused Jesus of being a fake and demanded that the blind man (formerly blind) denounce Jesus and give God the glory for his miraculous healing.  John 9:25, “He answered and said, Whether he be a sinner or no, I know not: one thing I know, that, whereas I was blind, now I see.”  I am glad for Dr. Lindquist, but I am infinitely more glad for Jesus, the Great Physician, Who gave me spiritual sight in 1956!  And soon, I will see Jesus, face to face!  Hey, I’m ready to meet Jesus; are you?!  If not, message me and let’s chat.
