When someone is going to emigrate to another country, they do several things. They usually have a “moving” yard sale and get rid of things that are not necessary that have been accumulating for years. They pack up important things and send them on ahead. Finally, they go to the airport and fly to their new home. Hey, that’s how we are in life. Someday, we are going on a long journey, and we won’t be coming back. Your destination is at home in heaven with God … or in eternal prison, separated from God in torment. The decision that you make NOW will determine your destination. And there will be no opportunity later to change your mind. Your decision NOW will determine how you will live the rest of your life. Will you live for Jesus Christ or will you live for self? The writer of the book of Hebrews said in Hebrews 9:27, “And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.” And when you leave this earth, you will take nothing with you. But you can send things on ahead of you. I Corinthians 3:10b-15 And if you share the good news of Jesus Christ with others, you can take them with you too. Proverbs 11:30 Hey, today would be a good day to begin to prepare for your long journey. Prepare for your heavenly destination or, by default, you are preparing for the other destination.
