Yesterday, I was remembering the young boy who shared Jesus with me. His name was Miles Howell. Then I wondered, “Who shared Jesus with Miles?” And who shared Jesus with him? And so forth all the way back to the apostles. It is like a road in time from Mount Calvary until now, and then on into eternity. The apostles walked that road for a few years and shared Jesus with many people along the way. Then those people walked that road for a few years sharing with people in their lifetimes. And the road has led all the way to us. We as Christians are walking that same road. But are we sharing the good news of Jesus with others? Will we encourage others to walk the road, or with our silence, will our road end as a cul-de-sac? Solomon said in Proverbs 25:25, “As cold waters to a thirsty soul, so is good news from a far country.” Hey, share that Good News with a thirsty soul today. Make the road continue. You’ll be glad that you did … and so will someone else.
